Congrats! May your strong and virile sons slaughter hostile tribes, take their women, and present the heads of their chieftains to you as trophies!
Or be a plumber and electrician, really whatever works out for the best.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

Prosper is 22 months old...saw his brother for the 1st time yesterday...didn't seem too impressed. I hope he adjusts ok...I just love Prosper to pieces and would hate to see him have a rough time over this. I hope they are good buddies before too long.
When I was born, my cousin saw me, turned to my grandparents, and promptly asked how many presents he'd be getting for Christmas from now on. Somehow, I don't think you're off to too bad a start...
And congratulations.

Congrats. Did he screech his little head off at birth? If so, he's going to be a feisty one.
And when it comes to sexual plumbing ... well, it's much simpler and easier to "fix" the male than the female. A small incision there, and a "snip, snip!" here ... and it's all done!

Thanks everybody! The first night was a bit rough...#1 seems to get pissed whenever Mom nurses or changes #2's diaper (which is about 99% of the time). Sedation may be in order for a while. But he also gives him little kisses on the forehead (collective "aaaaaaaaawwwww").
For those with two kids close in age...any tips or tricks on warming them to the kid and sparing Mom from having to deal with both at the same time? Or is it just a matter of time? And I wonder how the 2nd is "easier"? I couldn't even remember how to put the blasted infant carseat together. Damn..the people who design those things are sadists.
Oh well...sleep is overrated anyhow.
I'll get some pictures up ASAP.
