I used to take claritin cause my doctor thought that I had allergies once. He prescribed me claritin and it didnt do sh!+. So, I just didn't take them and I havent had problem ever since.

So, Maybe I didnt have allergies, but the point is, while I was taking claritin, it really didnt help me. (I have a history of nasty unusual nasal problems so maybe that was it, which could explain why claritin didnt work.)

i've never tried the other ones, really. i don't know about tylenol, or about allegra.

i will say, however, i didn't like taking zyrtec.

--" does anyone here take claritin? does it work better than benadryl and tylenol sinus?"

I've got moderate-to-bad year round allergies, so I've been on claritin before. For quite some time. (Right now I'm on Clarinex, the sucessor to Claritin, as well as a nasal spray, and no, they still don't do enough for me... time for shots.)

Anyway, to answer your question, most definitely. I haven't found anything less than Claritn or Allegra that even makes a dent in my allergies.

--"i didn't realize that claritin isn't the same as claritin-d,"

Claritin-D is just Claritin with an additional antihistimene, but it's the same thing that's in Sudafed. Just go buy some of it (or, cheaper, the generic version) and you'll have the same thing.
It's not a good idea, though. The medicine in Sudafed can cause high blood pressure.

--"ts just one pill a day?"

There were two versions, a 12 hour and a 24 hour, but I think all the non-perscription stuff is 24 hour.

You can buy generic claritin (loratidine) online for about $30 USD for 72 10mg pills (the standard dose) from Canada.
