Lottery is fine because it doesnt effect anyone except for the person playing it and it is a choice of the person to do it.

exactly, no one is forcing you to play the lottery, the chacnes of winning are clearly printed¹ on each ticket.

I do not care waht the revenue is earmarked for.
A state lottery is a tax on stupidity, and I can think of nothing better to tax.

Its not always stupidity. I enjoy playing lotto from time to time.. so its just an added plus knowing that my money spent goes to help fun government spendings (which hopefully goes into right places.. not into wrong pockets of an individual).
