They should have poked him with the soft cushions first to force a confession.

Sadly they are quite common, twice per month month at leat I end up having to watch those things when taking the train.

Last week there was a red carpet with stones in it forming a circle and candles, sometimes it doesnt include dead chickens

You dont have to think of those rituals as big rituals with lots of people, it was simply a carpet with just those things, probably done by just one person.

This things are called "trabajos", they are used for example to curse a person you hate, you can go to a witch and ask him to do a "trabajo" against x person, or if you believe someone has done a "trabajo" against you, you can ask (pay) a witch to neutralize it with another trabajo, something like that.
They usually include that kind of things, candles, sacrifices etc
I saw a documental about those things two weeks ago.

usually there are decapitated chickens with red candles and that kind of things, ugly.

Uh, doesn't your country have animal cruelty laws against this?

          BIGOT

They have the right to practice their religion.

I dont know if we have that kind of laws, I mean, yes, we do have laws against animal cruelty, but you can buy a chicken and kill it , I dont believe the law cares about what you do with the corpse, whether you eat it or not.
It is very easy to decapitate a chicken, it is not particularly cruel (I am assuming you are not a vegan).

It should be illegal for the same reason flashing is. If it's not either, you should start your own religion which includes naked hairy men masturbating in public parks. They'll get the message!
