  • Anyone else seen cube/cube2? *confused*

Cube 1 was very good and bizzare-left you wanting to know more.....

Cube 2 made NO SENSE-didnt adress any of the questions done in Cube 1, while making tons of new questions......there wont be a cube 3 im sure because cube 2 was so horrific.....oh well-anyone else wanna guess what the heck the "cube's" purpose is?

The ORIGINAL had a good premise- a bizzare nonsencial chain of events which MIGHT be a massive experiment BUT you are never sure......Cube 2 has everyone appear the same as cube 1, but one of them gets out and the entire cube turns out to be infinentaly big and collapses on itself....in the end and dies to some goverment types... makes no sense.

The problem with Cube 2 is that they'd done just about everything interesting you can do with the idea of a bunch of strangers waking up in a cube-world in Cube 1. In Cube 2 the cube is the star, and the result is pretty bad.

The first is a very good movie, given that it was made for an extremely small amount of money and with completely unknown actors (who granted all worked heavily in television and small film roles for years). I think even the CGI effects were done free or very cheaply by a company wanting to break into the business.

It deftly weaves together psychological thrillers, sci-fi and submarine movies to present something rather unique, while still retaining a sense of mystery.

Unfortunately for Cube 2, the questions left dangling in the first movie were more to sustain the believability in that movie and are not really capable of supporting an even remotely decent sequal.

      I haven't seen Cube 2, and I don't think I ever will, since Cube only got 5/10...

The idea in Cube got 10 points, the ending gave -5 points... I hate movies where 99% of the leading roles die If they had let them/most of them survive, the ending would be much better, and would make a better sequel...
This space is empty... or is it?

Haven't seen Cube 2 but the first one rocked. It was one of those intellegent movies that is rare in hollywood now adays.

            I totally agree with Wtiberon.

I didn't know there is a sequel. I don't think I can stay away from it despite the reviews here...

Dont ruin your memory of cube 1 by seeing its discrace of the sequel(assuming you havent yet).

I saw most of Cube 2. I must admit that didn't understand it or even like it. I attributed this to my not seeing the beginning of the movie.

                But now I know better.

                Avoid Cube 2.
