Cats are more common because of the number of old ladies that keep them by the dozens. I prefer fish, they flush a lot easier than cats.

Feral cats are, like all cats, top hunters. In the wild, since all higher predators have been killed off, cats do huge damage to bird and rodent populations.

Isn't one of the major complaints in metropolitan areas in regards to rats & pigeons? I find it to be more of a problem when they put rat poisin in the subways rather than the cats eating the rats...
