    Futurama > Simpsons

Simpsons is stale and losing its edge ( latest episodes just aren't that funny ) yet they still make it and cancel Futurama which is far superior.

king of the hill is a great show. far superior to futurama. more reminiscent of earlier simpsons episodes.

while futurama feels closer to later simpson episodes

My biggest complaint with King of the Hill:

Hank Hill sound just like Mr. Anderson from Beavis and Butthead. Yes, I know they were created by the same person.

        ACK!

Simpsons is getting kind of stale... I mean for crying out loud that series started when I was in 4th grade and I'm practically a senior in college now!

The simpsons are not getting stale at all. This is just a popular misconcpetion/band wagon thing, IMO. They did have a few more stinkers in the last few seasons then they had historically had, but they still have many quality episodes. LONG LIVE THE SIMPSONS!

I liked Futurama, by the way, and I also saw that episoide. its a shame they cancled it, adn an even bigger shame they canclled Family Guy, which was exactly like the simpsons (barely functioning family with a big fat stupid patriarch[homer], dumb ass son[bart], stereotypical house wife[marge], a daughter [lisa is the closest thing, but they are very different] and baby[maggy, but the baby is super intellegent, like lisa...]). so it was like the simpsons with 2x the new episodes each week.

The series is definitely getting at least semi-stale. Compare the season 14 episode where Marge gets breast implants and the one where Marge gets muscles and tell me exactly how they differ in concept.

No, Simpsons are going stale. I've watched religiously since the fifth season and have probably seen every episode at least twenty times in syndication (except the one where maggie gets put in daycare and escapes to free the pacifiers they never show that one!) the episodes can no longer function without Homer having a large part. Unlike earlier episodes where Marge or Bart could carry the episodes. I read something on Jumptheshark.com that was so true, the Simpsons have resorted to un funny one liners as jokes and, for all intensive purposes, abandoned plots to add scores of guest stars.

Family Guy is another great programme that doesn't deserve to be messed around.

Simpsons seem to be recycling plotlines a lot these days and I certainly don't laugh at the jokes as much as I used to. Even the Sideshow Bob episodes aren't half as good as they used to be.

And yes as said above, the reason Futurama never got the "ratings" was because they always put it up against tough opposition. gfg guys!

I don't have a tv hook-up right now, so I got my copy of yesterday's Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles from somewhere on IRC. It's one of the better light episodes, though perhaps not as good as Roswell That Ends Well.

The Simpsons suck. Every FUX executive needs to be ritually disemboweled (yes, Sideshow Bob fans, I wouldn't rather say "gutted").
