Why should we fix English instead of start anew from an already logical language? Because, everyone already knows English. (I am exaggerating here, but more people know English than they know logical languages.
)
Why turn all the vowels into U? Think. We can finally get rid of those annoying a's, e's, i's, and o's. That will save time teaching children how to read/write, it will save time reading and writing (after we get used to it,) and it will save keyboard manufacturers money because that's 4 less keys to pop in. (As for whut should happen to those blank spaces that are now there...well, they can just stay there. )
As for the Q and X comment, yes, that would be the next phase in the project after all vowels become U's. Q equals Kyu and X equals Eks. C can go down the drain too: C hard = K, and C soft = See.
