The Americans were there for us right at the start in 1914 and 1939, fighting with us without any question so naturally we should join the US in its attack against little ol' Iraq.
Ding ding! Yes, exactly; perfect point.
Obviously, Saddam is much more of a threat than two imposing alliances of modernised nations...

But I've read enough Canadians here to have developed predjudices on Albertans vs other Canadians. But show me a blank Canada map, and I might confuse Alberta with Ontario
Hey, we're not all evil! Alberta gets a bad rap, I tells ya...
We're actually all fun-loving socialists, it's just that Klein gives us a bad image! I swear!

Just pointing out that you were eerily accurate with your assessment.

Indeed. And never forget their great contribution to the Boer War...

You are right, actually. Our anti-Americanism was quite jocular and amicable before Bush.
OTTAWA - Defence Minister John McCallum has ruled out sending Canadian ground troops to any war on Iraq.
McCallum confirmed Thursday that the government's recent commitment of peacekeepers to Afghanistan will prevent it from sending ground forces anywhere else for at least a year.
So what do you expect us to do, abandon Afghanistan? That's just a simple case of not having any troops to spare, we're stretched as far as we can go. It's not a political decision, we just don't have the manpower. Rather selfish of you to insist that we leave Afghanistan to fend for itself, just so we can have a few troops to spare for your little war.
Not to mention the resources we're already lending in the war on terrorism. As Cellucci mentioned, even if we're not actively taking part in Iraq, we still have more troops and resources in the region than most of the ones who talk about supporting the war. They'll be helping in their own way, we just won't be blowing up or shooting Iraqis.
