  • why does.....

...drinking several pints of beer, a handful of alcopops, shots of tequila, and, probably, petrol; on a friday night get me pleasantly drunk and eager to dance until 3 a.m when done on a friday, yet one can beer on a tuesday totally destroys my cooridination and makes me sleepy?

    I can't feel my legs.....

I want answers dammit. before I lose the ability to read.

Note: These are non-American beers. Grolsch specifically, 5.0% alcohol.

Friday? Love, I wasn't recovered from Friday when I went out on Saturday. £1.50 a drink is an absolutely brutal policy done by a bar here. I had £20 to spend, that's nearly 13 drinks.

I'm looking for what I did on Saturday night between 7pm and 10 pm. If found, please return the memories to me.

HA! 5.0% That's regular beer here. You need training.
The beer made here in Québec goes from 5.0% up tp 9.8%. But the one I like the most is Bleu Dry 6.1%.

A 9.8% beer ? It's almost as much as wine ! I don't think I have ever drunk a beer more than 5%, or it was against my will

I've noticed the same thing too.

It depends on psychological cues, such as time, day, mood, etc-etc. Personally, I've noticed that when I'm in a good mood, I can drink more, and when I am in a rut I can barely even look at beer.

For instance, on Monday I drank 3 Boddington's Pub Ale's and got plastered. But last Saturday I drank 2.5 pitchers of Bass Ale and Harp's and was a little less drunk than this past Monday.

(I generally don't like drinking American beer....English beer tastes waaaay better)

Budweiser (the American beer) is 5% alcohol as well.
