  • How is your country supporting the war.

We can say all the ****e we want, there's real politiks and international agreements.

So how is your country supporting the war?

Greece is through the Suda Naval Base in SE Crete, which has seen hundrends of American planes, pass through, land, refuel, air refuel, even air transport tanks etc.

Greece protects this base with Patriot missiles and S-300 missiles which even have limited anti-balistic capability. (can stop nukes, to an extend).

It has also supplied a military frigate in the region. The gov. insists that it's not taking part in military operations, but is for checking ships out that pass its way.

Belgium allows military transports because of its international agreements, though even not allowing that is being discussed by some parties.

LoL, I just heard on the dutch television that during a press conference with a bunch of top military fags a dutch officer was introduced... (meaning he cooperated with the attack on iraq, suggesting the netherlands are sending military troops to Iraq)

You probably all know that the netherlands are not militarily involved in this conflict!! The Dutch minister of defense was not all too happy about this lol!!

I gotta give it to the Americans though, this is an easy way to make it look like you've got a lot of support for this war, when really you haven't got much support from the rest of world! ah propaganda, ah CNN

The United States is providing 230,000 ground troops with another 20,000 USAF personnel (several hundred Attack aircraft), and 6 carrier Battle groups.

My country, Denmark, is actually the fourth active member of the coalition. Denmarks contribution to the fighting forces in Iraq consists of two naval vessels. A submarine and a corvette.

These vessels have both been placed under U.S. command, and the submarine is already in place in the Gulf. The corvette will arrive sometime around next week-end.

I think we should have sent more, but the political climate in my country does not allow for that.

China condemns the war and calls for it to stop.

Singapore is staying out, calling for the war to end quickly, and pledging aid to Iraq when it's over. In the meantime, the press in Singapore is very helpful:

Canada is staying out of the military conflict, though there are a few frigates in the region. In the meantime there is strong support for the government's position, especially in Quebec.

All in all, an amazing amount of support and understanding for the American point of view.
