  • Whose Got What?

The US has a mere 10 divisions, but how many planes and ships? I recall Reagan and his Soviet era '600 ship navy', but I have no idea how many we have now.

How much of a military does your country have? I know the Brits are strong, but how strong? I'm interested in divisional strength, planes and ships...for French and Germans, also other european countries.

Also, what kind of tanks and fighters do you use and how many does each country have?

We've heard how the US is the only game in town, but there must be other strong militaries out there besides the Brits...

Tell all, "you can set your secrets free baby"...I won't tell.

Why? Are you planning a invasion of some sorts? I have no info on the French army if that's what you're after.

      Three tanks and a tugboat.

Oh yeah, we also have a reserve unit of boy scouts, just in case.

In Israel, it depends on the level of mobilization.

              Thanks CW
305 ships in the USN? Seven carriers listed? That can't be right, I thought we had a dozen...

Our army forces are negligible, but our drug traffickers are among the fiercest in the world.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

Azazel, the Isreali 7th Armored. Heros of the Golan in '73.

It was the 7th, wasn't it? That fought off so many first line Syrian aromed divs? *senile*

Some years back I read the history of that fight and it practicly brought tears. Any nation with such fighters has all the right to exist as it needs. The Might to exist...

Actually, despite it being considered a relatively unsucessful war, as we actually had a chance of losing it , what was accomplished was quite extraordinary. The force that was stopped was the size of the entire NATO european forces at the time, and the armies were backed by soviet manned SAMs, and some airplanes. that's the reason that the airforce had such difficulty there, then.

the 7th Armored is a first echelon BRIGADE mind you. that's what? around 100 tanks? and the tanks then were Pattons, that were rather inferior to the T-62s. Those were deadly battles, and the Sinai they were quite huge. I am still amazed that our losses were so limited. for a country that has experienced so many wars, we came out barely scarred.

Azazel, it was a beautiful thing. What a bunch of guys.

Brigade size! They had no right to win, but they would not lose. :sniff:
