              I guess I don't get it. None of these 3 ministers seem to be anybody important and everybody still is bleeting on and on about how Blair is in trouble.

              Have I misunderstood the situation?
              I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt.                 The German minister, who out of pure dumbness compared Bush with Hitler (not even very clearly) half a year ago, also was nobody of any importance. You should have heard the Americans bleeting on and on that time.

                        When 3 members of the government itself and 1/3 of the government's members are voting against it, the government is in trouble.

                        For that many people to go against party loyalty means that the party is seriously divided. I wonder what's going to happen at the next labour leadership convention...

                          What is "ki" in modern Greek?

                          (I read Classical Greek but this stuff looks like poorly spelt Classical Greek so I'm assuming things have changed quite radically)

                                Parliament would have to call a vote of no confidence to force Blair out.
