Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
$70 isn't bad, even though $40 is a more reasonable price. Per user, that is.

If the crack program is NOT authorized by the Game company, it is illegal. It's that simple.
Apolyton does not support or condone the illegal use of Game Software.
If you continue to discuss using cracks to get around copy protection the posts will be deleted, and you will get restricted.
Even though actually cracking it is only illegal, the crack itself is not, under the DMCA...
Why do you think those sites have been around for so long? It's for backup purposes, it's completely and totally legal.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

^^ Not true in jurisdictions like Australia and Europe, where making backups is explicitly allowed by their laws; the company can't prevent you from doing it, no matter what their draconian EULAs may state. (Not sure what Canada's laws are on the subject) So in those areas, downloading a crack -- for the purpose of making a backup -- is simply a means to exercise your rights under the law.
Now obviously the USA lawyers are the ones who'll hit you the hardest, so I can understand your reluctance to even air the subject on the site.

Just making sure this site stays up and running.
There are many other sites where you can go discuss illegal use of software... this isn't one of them
Now, now, folks, this is the OT forum, and all, but I was wondering more about whether my problem was caused by copy protection or something else, not how many version of 'Poly there should be.

In the US, a crack is a violation of the draconian DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) because it forbids circumvention of devices that enforce copyrights. Check out the case of DeCSS for details.

Ming why do you remove and close all my topics about CD-protections and do not close this one? I think that it's kind of antisemitism.
Yeah... right...
This is a problem about loading a game... discussions on illegal activity have been deleted... so stuff it
