That's the whole problem imo, the more military troops you send in, the more hostile they get, which is quite natural of course! Also, you guys probably never have heard of it but: If you treat your population well, they won't complain and you wouldn't have had this conflict, perhaps how I'm saying this now, seems a bit simplistic, but I still think it's true!

no particular feeling. he's not lefty if you ask this. neither is he a believer in a wider israel.
Being that he would be guarding illegally held territory, that would make him a legitimate military target...
irrelevently what he's guarding, once he's in uniforms he is techncally a legit target.
If I were him, I would ask to be transferred somewhere else, unless he believes in what he's doing.
