I think it is stupid to watch a romance movie. First off, they're very unrealistic. The main character always gets laid on his/her first date. Second, almost all of them have a happy ending, which is very unrealistic. The only relationship that has a happy ending in real life is the person you're with when you die. Also, the good guy is always the one who gets the girl. They never make a movie on the other guy in the love triangle, who has to watch the one he desires with someone else. That guys is always the bad guy. And, what's the point in watching one anyways? A romance in real life is a lot better than one on TV.

What is the point in watching a romance movie?
"The first man who, having fenced off a plot of land, thought of saying, 'This is mine' and found people simple enough to believe him was the real founder of civil society. How many crimes, wars, murders, how many miseries and horrors might the human race had been spared by the one who, upon pulling up the stakes or filling in the ditch, had shouted to his fellow men: 'Beware of listening to this imposter; you are lost if you forget the fruits of the earth belong to all and that the earth belongs to no one." - Jean-Jacques RousseauTags: None

Titanic doesn't have a happy ending. Pretty Woman does. Ghost is bittersweet. All in all, romance movies are what's called "women movies." They aren't made for men. Men watch them mostly because they need to keep the women company.
