Most of them are in the neighbourhoood of Belgium, which is understandable of course... and naturally I visit France etc more often than Egypt and the likes

I'm planning to seek it a little further next time though... Guatemala etc to go on a little Maya visit/Peru for the Inca's (haven't decided yet)... Also, Cuba looks interesting, but a bit touristic, and you have to throw dollars away like mad if you want something done and that's not easy for a poor student such as meh!

Also on the list are Greece (you live in Athens right paiktis ) and Turkey (while i'm up there i could also check the recent archaeological excavations at Sagalassos led by a professor of mine, Prof Waelkens)

I'll keep that in mind, though I happen to know a whole lot about the Mayas, and I was already thinking of checking out their sites (pictures are nice but it's not the real thing)

On the other hand I really should visit Macchu Pichu real soon because I heard a landslide is causing it to vanish (or simply be destroyed) in a matter of time!

and lived ingermany as i was an army brat....

yeah yeah I know they're not oppressed. (although 96% of ålanders did vote in favour of joining sweden(in 1918?))

Gangerwolf, Yeah, I think they'd like to be part of Sweden.. they speak swedish, are closer to Sweden, and are maybe more swedish to begin with.. Personally I wouldn't mind if we rented it and later sold it to Sweden..
