    Ozone only stops short wavelength ultraviolet. The distribution of total energy by wavelength drops off sharply above the visible band. Heat produced by UV woudn't be anywhere near that dramatic, since the whole greenhouse effect on Earth is estimated at 30-35° K.

    Ozone formation is a positive feedback mechanism anyway. That means it tends to re-establish itself in a hurry.

          Berzerker, your charges of the last 100 years appear to be smoothed versions of the one's I posted. Your baseline temperture is 1900, while the one's I posted appear to use 1980. The choice of baseslines is significant. It shoes that 1900 was dramatically cooler that the bulk of the current interglacial period. But, the current termperatures appear almost "average."
