  • *shocking admission* I do not like Adam Sandler

I did like him on SNL, but I just don't think he has the talent to pull off big screen movies. But I did like Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore. All his other movies are crap. He only has one act, and it grows tiresome.

So what are some other popular movies/actors everyone likes but you?

I've never been keen Jim Carey movies either- even though he was great on In Living Colour. And I'm very tired of Austin Powers movies as well. They had some good jokes, but the movie as a whole was kind of boring.

Austin Powers was glorious, up until that abomination they released last summer. IT was NOT funny at all... well, excpet for the various pissing scenes, but that is it!

I personally cant stand Dennis Miller. I dont find him funny at all.

Am I the only one who thinks Adam's movies are all the same?

Sandler is getting tired. Same with Chris Rock. I do like Dennis Miller (gotta appreciate someone who actually thinks ).

Dennis Miller isn't as good as Lewis Black.

As for that last austin powers movie, it did suck... except for that beginning. Kevin Spacey as Dr. Evil? Ingenious.

My thoughts exactly. He was funny the first time I saw him, I think it was Happy Gilmore, but it gets old. He plays the same exact type of oddbal character every movie, and his movies always have the same uninteresting plots. Adam Sandler movies bore me greatly now.

Yes Pauly Shore needs to be burned for his crimes.

Billy Madison was his first movie. And that was made decent by Chris Farley and Norm Macdonald. And the west wing guy was the bad guy. Basically he had a better support cast. He just doesn't have the talent to carry a movie by himself.

IMHO there's nothing shocking in admitting not liking Adam Sandler.

I like Christopher Walken, but I don't like Harvey Keitel.
I like Johnny Depp, but I don't like Sean Penn.
I like Tim Roth, but I don't like Robert De Niro

(and those likings/dislikings is only about their acting )
I'm not a complete idiot: some parts are still missing.

I don't like Sandler either. Chris Tucker was funny as hell in "Gonna Git You Sucka!" and "The Fifth Element". He was a lot of good karma to burn off from those two performances. I like Dennis Miller too, but he and I are both smartasses from the same era, so I get most of his wierd references. Sometimes I just laugh because the reference is surprising, a laugh at the delight of rediscovery rather than something objectively humorous.
                              He's got the Midas touch.
But he touched it too much!
