I think it'd do Felch a lot more damage than good to pretend to be some hardass/dumbass when he's not one...

If a girl ain't bright enough to figure out it's all some act anyway, she's not worth your time.

That's an interesting point Ash. You may be right. If Felch could pull off the hardass/dumbass act convincingly, it would behoove him greatly in terms of getting girls. But if he could not, you are right, it would be most optimal to just be himself, and hope for the best. It is not so difficult to pull off such an act, but it leaves a very poor taste in one's mouth.

Well insecurity is something else entirely. I agree that confidence is something of paramount importance, but you can still be confident and nice. I don't think that being a nice guy necesarrily translates to having a lack of confidence (though admittedly that may be the case in a good number of cases).

You know why they don't like you? Because you keep calling them chicks

Start calling them babes, works like a charm.

Good advice for Felch, don't refer to any future prospects as "chicks".

I didn't really address this earlier, so I will now. From my experiences talking to girls on this subject, almost unanimously I have gathered that girls treat bad boys as a sort of "project" of sorts. Aside from the aspect of naturally finding bad boys "exciting", they like to think they can really change them. So in other words, they think that they can eventually make these bad boys the traditional nice guys that they have historically avoided. Or at least, that is what I gather.

I agree with Glonk. These chicks babes have mental problems. They don't realise they can't change others - others must change themselves. Besides, why on earth would they want to try something so stupid?

I mostly hang out with pot smokers and pot smoking girls, so being a hardass isn't such a big deal. But I do agree, if I were looking at other girls it would be a good idea to toughen up.

I play rugby (badly), so pumping a little iron is something I should be doing anyway.

You all did hit the nail on the head with the confidence thing. That quote I opened with was because she thought that I was too hard on myself, and I was too clingy and whatnot. It's something I really do need to work on.

Y'all have been great help so far, thanks for everything. Hopefully if anybody else is in a similar situation they might benefit.

What? The dumb ones are the best ones... Atleast for about two weeks then they get boring...
