There ya go. So what's wrong with the puma commercial from being run? Even if I answered yes, it still isnt a good enough reason for why this commercial should not run, because other commercial you would answer yes to is running very well anyway.

Your attempt to get me to answer "yes" was a complete waste of time.....

Look, like the Supreme Court guy said, when talking about porn, "I know it when I see it."

This is over the line. It's a bad influence on kids. It is completley immoral and, morals aside, is completely not practical to be run because KIDS ARE INFLUENCED BY WHAT THEY SEE IN ADVERTISING.

COMPANIES ADVERTISE BECAUSE ADVERTISING MAKES MONEY BY INFLUENCING BEHAVIOR.

If it didn't influence behavior then they wouldn't waste billions of dollars on it.

I read somewhere this week that a major sneaker company is now using a former porn star as their spokesperson. Is this it?

Would be interested in hearing from posters who have teenagers. Our two girls are still small, but if this is a legit ad, no matter where it runs, we won't be buying their product.
                Old posters never die.

sigh ur really slow. Im not arguing whether this is moral or not. They're are other commercials just as bad this one and it has been running. So why wouldnt this one run?

                    Oh, yer funny Calc...

You think I approve of ads that "imply" ANY sex acts? You've said as much that I don't, so why go and distort something I've posted on this matter? The only place where such ads might be appropriate is in places where "material inappropriate for minors" is already printed, like "adult" magazines.

I'm not certain if you're responding to me, but I'll assume as much for the sake of this post: That wasn't my point. Bare shoulders aren't nudity, hell the Lever 2000 soap ads don't bother me (much). It's the fact that she's screaming in such a way that (ideally) only adults would recognize as being something else... The Puma ad is related, but on a whole different level...and yes, a worse level I agree.

What about "There's Something About Mary"? Everything about the scene with Ben Stiller and the "hair gel" is implied - yet wasn't the movie PG-13? As far as I know PG-13 stuff is basically OK on TV, but I don't know what the rules are for magazines. I bet this would be perfectly appropriate in gray area magazines like FHM and Maxim.

Okay, so you're trying to set a precedent by saying there are other bad commericals out there so because of those precedents, this one is okay to be run. Therefore it must be real.

                          However:

                          1) Some of those commecials shouldn't be running
                          2) This one should DEFINITLEY not be running

Whether this is still real or not remains to be seen. And if it is indeed real then I am with Adam Smith and am NOT buying any Puma crap ever again.

Speak in English next time so I know what the **** you are talking about.

I am saying we need to be careful with what our kids are seeing because they are influnced by the images they see, but at the same time are not educated to the consequences of those actions. The more and more sex is commodized and cheapened, like in this ad, the more and more we see things like teen birthrates go up.

By, the way, the teen pregnancy rate in California has been decreasing, and this corresponds DIRECTLY with a heavy media blitz that teaches kids the consequences of doing it.

Ok great, but if you think 1) Commercials that are running are acceptable, 2) This one is acceptable.

Am I arguing that I beleive this commercial is acceptable, NO. I dont intend to state my own view. But cant you see how this commercial would run?

Oh, and read english next time so you have an idea what another person is talking about.
