Look people, there's no way I could put what I said gently, except for the single * replacing the proper letter. The ad is unacceptable for printing anywhere other than in "adult" magazines, that much is pretty established by existing US law.
The forum I moderate is DEAD SERIOUS about protecting minors from material they don't need to see and shouldn't see. I agree that they will eventually figure out the more grown-up parts of the birds-n-bees stuff at some point, but it shouldn't happen before they're physiologically ready to "participate" in such activities. A 15-yr-old doesn't need to see a shoe ad "implying" some "implied" girl giving some "implied" guy "implied" ...erm...attention.
Gaa, those Herbal Essence commercials tick me off too, but they (unfortunately) DON'T cross the line because there's no nudity even. Sure, she's screaming like there's no tomorrow and she's gonna' make the best of it, but the ad doesn't go far enough to cross the line.The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.
