If you want to vote in US elections, give up your citizenship and become a citizen of the US. Otherwise, we don't care who you want to vote for, it doesn't count or matter
This is an interesting idea. Other than foriegn policy (which would not exist in a one world government), what would you change about how the US does business if you could vote?

I say, if Europe or anyone else wants more say. Europe needs to engage us a little more instead of spelling out opposition to war in a series of grunts only cavemen could understand. How about Chirac come to washington, talk about things. Bring up alternatives, instead of the same old....same old. And lets also stop comparing bush to hitler
I mean..there not giving reasons. There throwing out phrases like "Inspections, not war". And we have only told them Inspections arent working about 10 times, not only that Colin Powell showed them. Yet still....
I guess its easier to remain belligerent than admit that you made a mistake.

Socialised health care, publically funded higher education, better enviro standards, more money for the world's poor....
Oh, even better idea. Let them vote in Presidential elections, but give the rest of the world only three electors, like DC. They can learn a valuable lesson about American style democracy.
1 for non US America, 1 for Nato countries, and one for the rest of the world?
Cut military spending, remove that ridiculous Missile Shield, remove corporate welfare, remove farm subsidies, kill off *cough* Homeland Security *cough*, increase NASA funding massively, revamp the patent process, outlaw patenting "intellectual property," remove DMCA, restore copyrights to 15 years, tighten anti-trust laws.

Excellent ideas. With 300 billion in defense funds from the US alone, these ideas could very realistically come to pass. The only modification I would make is:
More opportunity for the poor, not just more money.

UR: In a one world democratic gov't we would not need military spending, missle shields, or homeland security. I do like the NASA idea very much.

I wouldn't object to US states seceding and joining the Canadian confederation though. Our parliamentary system is superior to that of the US in every way anyway.
