Its a Carry On 'catchphrase' from the film Carry On Matron.

Camp British humour from the 60s and 70s. Think Benny Hill if you've never heard of the films.

I seem to recall it being a quote from the Kenneth Williams character in 'Carry on Doctor'- the large Hattie Jacques played the formidable Matron.

Kenneth Williams was a rather camp, acid tongued comedian (also notable in the radio series 'Round the Horne) who was an acquaintance of Joe Orton's. Hence the 'OOoohhh, Matron!' exclamation is rather more intelligible if you are cognisant of cheesey British humour from the sixties. The 'Carry On' series is mostly low farce.

Well Heeeello is a similar phrase.

Good carry on is far superior to Benny Hill
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!

I don't really like these films, but that quote is a true classic.
Which Carry On is it from?
If I'm posting here then Counterglow must be down.

Another Kenneth William's quote, as they went after him (as Caesar) with the daggers.

Some Carry On films are timeless classics. Many though dated badly.
