Now, PETA's espoused views like this before, and it says pretty much of them that this doesn't come nearest the most offensive thing they've done. However, I just had to post it, because it's such a golden opportunity for me to post this telling cartoon without the Godwin implications:
"Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe. Matter transcends to return to spirit. The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. S. presidency
"That’s the future of the Democratic Party: providing Republicans with a number of cute (but not that bright) comfort women." - Adam Yoshida, Canada's gift to the world
How ironic it is that Goering prohibited animal torture, yet didn't bat an eye at it for the Jews, whom the Nazis claimed were "subhuman" and practically animals anyway...
Interestingly, one of the charges Nazis leveled at Jews was that Jews were heavily involved in vivisection and general animal torture business. There's an animal rights currant in the current Neo-Nazi movement. Here's a flier from the World Church of the Creator site.

"I hope I get to punch you in the face one day" - MRT144, Imran Siddiqui
'I'm fairly certain that a ban on me punching you in the face is not a "right" worth respecting." - loinburger
Stefu, does that mean we can call PETA a bunch of Nazis?
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
- John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
First, I know about Jewish Kosher. It's less nasty than it sounds, but is still seriously nasty. There is debate on trying to change the religious interpertation to allow the slaughtered animal to have sedation or something given to it.
Second, about the farm industry being compared to the holocaust - sadly, I concur. I don't claim to know how bad is it in other countries - but in Israel, the abuse of these animals is enormous.
I don't know what to do. I still eat chicken. I can't afford chicken which comes from organic farms (where they are much better treated and fed).
The problem in Israel is both of space and budget. You have low budgets and low incomes for consumers - and you have little space - but you need to create a sustainable industry, as many poultry products are eaten.
Siro, have you tried vegetarianism? I also once thought it would be impossible, but I've been mostly-vegetarian for over 3 years now, the only meat I eat being fish.

"get contacts, get a haircut, get better clothes, and lose some weight"
Albert Speer
Personally, as much as I'm not a Nazi, I would definitely have to say that the current state of animal farms is horrendous. SHoved into small places, put their for the enjoyment of humans.
Hmm, sounds like a zoo, except the form of enjoyment being a bit different
