If it's that easy, what was your last CD and how many millions did it make? Only a dumbas_ would even try to discuss hiphop and rap as if they're the same thing. What we have here is nothing but a bunch of jealous white boys who wish they could do the same thing, but that requires something none of you have, talent.Originally posted by Shi Huangdi

I saw a 60 Minutes once where Ja Rule went through the process of making a song.
In brief, it takes about 15 minutes. He mindlessly raps into a microphone, his audio engineers cut out the incoherent parts and then they add a synthetic beat and samples to the background. Then it sells millions..."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

What is it with people thinking that if other people make fun of something, then they MUST be jealous of that thing? Personally I hate Hip-hop (but not rap), and on that note, I DO have musical talen. No, I don't have the talent to sell millions (read: I don't like making music based on current trends so as to make maximum profit), I have the talent to make music I like (well, talent in the making...I'm only 16). I find the majority of hip-hop to be un-original crap made solely to sell on most young men's urges and wants: sex, women, drugs, alcohol, money. Believe it or not, there are songs called "Wearin' No Draws" and "No Panties on the Dance Floor" (yes, they are about what their names say), and one about a "car wash" involving women (you know what I mean). There is no talent in that that I would ever want.Originally posted by Carver

Thank you, and good night.
[Edit_added]And whiever based talent off of profit? That is most rediculous measure, only usable to judge how well a creator knows the current trends. Some of the best artists I can think of sell barely 1/100th of what hip-hop artists make, but are a 1000 times better than most hip-hop artists.[/Edit]I AM.CHRISTIAN

Ja rule is a horrible rapper. Great rhymes are rare, just look at Jurassic 5 for some true music.

Could this be because 60 minutes didn't want that story to take up more than a quarter of their air time?Originally posted by Asher

I like this eminem rhyme:
It's known that I'm strapped
At any moment I could snap
I'm the equivalent of what would happen if Bush rapped
it conjures funny images.
