There isn't much in it between Dalton and Lazenby...

Lazenby was in a good Bond movie, unlike Dalton...

In fact, Lazenby was trailing Banana a few hours ago

I would have liked to have seen what job Connery would have done.

Apparently I was talking to someone and Lazenby was supposed to be an absolute bastard to work with, he was really arrogant and hence they didn't want him to do another movie, and before that he was a car salesman

They should never have brought Connery back for "Diamonds Are Forever". It's painful watching the formerly dashing Connery dodder around like an old man in that piece of **** film...

Well look at how old he looked in 'Never Say Never Again'...and Moore in 'A View To A Kill', I tell you, he should have been on a zimmerframe

For your interest, that 'someone' I was talking to was actually Desmond Llewelyn...

Yep, I've talked to Q before It was at the Oxford Union Society after he had given a speech and just asked him who he reckons the best Bond is (that old question again )...

Hey, Dalton was in The Living Daylights, one of the best bond movies of all.

Connery set the archetype for Bond, therefore, when i think of Bond, i think of him. Pierce Brosnin comes closest out of the others to this 'model' James Bond, so hes second.

I once read that Ian Flemming thought that Roger Moore played the Bond that he had originaly thought of, not so rough as Connery. (haven't read any 007 books so I wouldn't know)

And though I prefer Connery for sentimental reasons (he was the first after all!) I think Brosnan does the best "all-round" performance.

                          connery
                          brosnan
                          moore
                          lazenby
                          dalton

Connery first just because out of all of the movies I've seen, his tend to be the best.
Brosnan just because he LOOKS like Bond to me. When someone says James Bond I immediately picture Brosnan. Goldeneye is one of my favorite movies. Tomorrow Never Dies was a disgrace. The World is Not Enough was ok. The new one (I can't even remember the name! ) was ok, but Bond gets caught too much and halle berry has too much screen time. Shes the Bond girl, not Bond.
Moore third because he's better than the other two. One of my favorite Bond movies, Live and Let Die, is one of his. Its a close call between that and Goldeneye.
Lazenby....i've never seen one with him in it....but anyone is better than Timothy Dalton.
Dalton is, in my opinion, a disgrace to James Bond altogether. Licence to Kill was horrible. I dont even remember what it was about....I do remember there being sharks in it though or maybe I fell asleep during the movie and dremt about sharks.....

Hey, I've already said I rank Moore just behind Connery. Connery is the better actor, but I think Moore makes the better bond IMO...so they are very, very close, with Brosnan not far behind...the other two are much further back.

                              The Best: Sean Connery

The Worst: Brosnan... I saw the first one, with him in the role... never again... he just don't fit in as a James Bond...
This space is empty... or is it?

Why would you omit David Niven from the poll? I heard that Fleming thought he was the Bond he had in mind.

All finns must've noticed in the latest Mikrobitti, that the makers of the magazine know their bonds.
