I live in an area (at least when I was a kid) that is very straight. Of course you can't know for sure... In any case no one ever thought I was gay. Although one time when I was real little, someone thought I was a girl. I'll never live through the shame of that.

I'm straight and I'm afraid in the 'burps where I grew up it was a insult to call some one gay. It shouldn't be but that's the way it was. In seventh grade my art teacher was a flabouyant homosexual and several of the other teachers would make fun of him even the students were watching.
