His plans for Universal Health Care, guaranteed jobs for all, more than doubling the current minimum wage, etc. would tank the economy in about three seconds flat!

Its possible that Reagans personal beliefs may have slowed recognition of the extent of AIDS problem. Eevn if we had jumped on the bandwagon and thrown even more money at AIDS research than we already have, its likely that very little would have changed. Reagan doesnt deserve the scapegoat status that too many gay organizations have thrown at him.

But oh, Clinton disgraced the office because of a hummer. Riiiiiight.

The preparedness of the military cant be measured by the minescule forces used in Afghanistan. Of course you might understand that if you knew anything about the issues.

Since military overspending and tax breaks for the rich were instrumental in spawning the deficit, it makes sense they should be reigned in to cut it, now doesn't it?

We dont know whether Reagan knew. Casey was the last of the WWII era intelligence cowboys and could easily have cooked up the whole thing without Reagans knowledge. That doesnt change that Reagan may have privately supported the idea simply that unless you were a fly on the wall ypu'll never know for sure.

I'd agree to that. For me the idea that a Marine Corps Lt. Col was running around making significant executive decisions was more troubling than Reagan ordering it (and I doubt that he did).

I've noticed that it seems to favor Ralph Nader. What suprises me is that my #4 choice is the Socialist Party.
