There is now about 36 inches (90 cm) in Redneckland. I can't even see my car. Oakland, in Garrett County, has 49 inches (122 cm).Comment

It is surreal outside in NYC.
The streets are virtually empty, except for pedestrians and a smattering of brave (stupid) drivers. It's easier to walk on the streets, since they are mostly plowed whil the sidewalks are buried. Since the wind is fairly gusty, cars parked on the street are buried in drifts. I'd say the accumulation on the ground is approaching a foot, and it isn't supposed to stop until tonight.Tutto nel mondo è burlaComment

apparently the plows haven't gotten here to suburban ny, only the sidewalks which have been shovelled by hand are clear - no cars, no tiremarks, the way it should be! beautiful sightI'm 49% Apathetic, 23% Indifferent, 46% Redundant, 26% Repetative and 45% Mathetically Deficient.Comment

I went hiking in the local mountains yesterday and it was in the low 60s. I was hoping to see some of the snow which had fallen earlier in the week but it had all melted by the time I got there.
