Is Nebraska the only places in the world to butcher the phrase "flogging a dead horse", or is this common place elsewhere?

I've never heard of "flogging" a dead horse. I've heard of "flogging the dolphin", however, and engage in it on a regular basis.KH FOR OWNER!
