In some forums, one of them is CGN, I have to re-login every time I visit. Well, if I leave and enter again after a minute then it works, but 20-30 minutes of not being on the forums forces me to login again when I come back.
Any ideas?

Check your CGN Control Panel, buddy. I had the same problem too, and then it turned out that my CP settings were set at "browsing with cookies - OFF"...
Problem :

Hey, same thing here!
I was just going to complain about it in the community forum one of these days
The fact is, while I had Opera 6 I had it so that I was always logged on on Apolyton - when I surf from home ofcourse. I do not remember setting it somewhere specificaly so I am guessing it was a cookie thing.
I usually use the quick reply feature and I am on 56k modem so this was great for me.
Now, about since I have upgraded to Opera 7 the whole thing gone wild and I sometimes have to re-log in in very short periods of couple of minutes.
I have no idea what is going on. Yesterday when I went to civfanatics I discovered I was still logged in although some six months or so passed since my last log in
So, do cookies expire?
If so, I am guessing the problem is on Apolyton side, since other sites do not give me this problem. If I can confirm this I ll pettition MarkG to remove the expiry. What is it for, anyway?
If it is not cookies but Opera setup .. anyone know how I can fix it?
I checked the relevant forums and they all have the "Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies)" and "Browse board with cookies?" options selected as "yes".

I was not trying to get rid of them but to keep them
Since Apolyton's Resurrection (should have known that Apolyton would operate on the Orthodox calendar, not the Roman one), I haven't had any problems with Opera at this site. Having to use IE now and then for a couple weeks reminded me of how retardo it is.

I installed a hotfix yesterday for XP that fixed some vulnerability in windows. As a side-effect, all websites that don't have javascript enabled now don't show images or anything. As I can't find the hotfix that caused this mess, I decided to change over to Opera. I'm liking it so far.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).
