The mother is the victim along with her son.

I can't imagine what amount of psychological and social distress the mother experienced while her son was going through hell (and still is).

So why sue the mother for her misery she's sharing with her son?

I didn't read the entire article. But I really felt like the mother could have used a bit more common sense. And parents should at least try to help their own children unstead of pawning their problems off to someone else to fix. Rich people think they can buy anything... Including sobriety.

OK I read a little bit more. This organization does seem to be pretty ****ed up. But these parents still have to make their own decisions. They should have investigated a place they are sending their children for months. You cannot have that much trust in businesses.

Ahh Orange Blossom Trail. How I remember that. I think they restricted us from going on that road, but of course we all did anyways.

I do hope mentioning this out of the ordinary example of evil in drug rehabilitation isn't a thinly veiled hack to support your position for legalization of all substances!

I'd show you another one about a girl from Jacksonville that got sent off to a Christian cult camp by her folks, because they didn't really want to deal with her. It's the kinda thing that just makes you insane, and there's nothing you can do about it.
