In a survey of 1000 IEEE Fellows, a whopping 94% thinks that OpenSource computing is important, of which a 64% ranks it as very important.

I've repeatedly stated in many threads that open source is viable for commodity products, and would certainly therefore be considered "important", but this does in no way translate into being the "best" or anything like you want to imply here.
