Yeah, the suburbs suck ass. But, com'on Speer, even you can make the logical assumtion that many people do growup like that. The reason they used such a 'rich suburban' response, was to highlight the contrast between them and their 'black friends'.

        That's normal?

Of course! Even around Philly... let's go through, shall we?

        swimming

Are you saying you've never seen a pool?

        golf, horseback riding

Both are only a few miles outside Philly.

arts and crafts, gardening, building treehouses, mowing the lawn, selling lemonade, etc.

All outdoor suburban activities (well except arts and crafts).

          thanks
I have been through Gary, Indiana and Detroit, Michigan. I have seen the South and West sides of Chicago. I have been all over the US pretty much. I have never been someplace so utterly devestated as Philidelphia. I have seen stuff in Philly that I didn't believe could be found in America.

Philly sucks. The Philly suburbs (at least on the New Jersey side of the river-the PA side ones seemed nice) are hideous. The only things positive I can say about Philly is that they have great steak andwiches, that they aren't as bad as Camden and they have a great hip-hop scene. And this was during the heart of the tech boom, when all of America was prospering (except Philly aparently).

BTW, teen pregnancies are actually worse in the suburbs, but because of their spread out nature and the willingness of suburban kids to get abortions, the impact isn't anywhere near as great as in the inner cities. The drug problem is similar, with very high usage rates in the suburbs. As bad as city life can be, cities are the repositories of culture and have many more things to do than the suburbs. Suburbs are cultural waste-lands for the most part. Check your library for the book, Teenage Wasteland, which is about New Jersey suburban life.

I find it ironic you're such a screaming right-winger yet you use left-wing Black revolutionaries as your avatars. IIRC, that's Hewy Newton.

A lot of suburbanites and foreigners (thank you NYPD Blue rebroadcasts) think American cities are far worse than they are; like you'll be shot just walking down the street or if your car is worth more than $8000 you'll be killed and your car stolen. I've never been to Philly, but I've spent a ton of time in inner-city Hartford, North ("bad") Tampa, and North ("bad") St. Louis. By and large, no one will bother you unless you instigate something. I love the cities, they have a great feel to them.

As for the website under consideration, it's cool.

I find it very funny and don't understand why everything making fun in a satyrical way of ethnic diversity is racism
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Huh? How is this a liberal problem? Would it be better if they were right-wingers who admitted to disliking african-americans? And 'Cracker'?! Isn't that the white equivilent of n****r? I think you have the theme of the site mixed up.

                          Chegitz:

I really wanted Eldridge Cleaver as he was more inline with my beliefs and he realized that black nationalism was a socially conservative movement (being led by a Southern Baptist minister in King and religious leaders in Muhammed and Shabazz) and that the true enemy of blacks was the inherently racist liberal left.

Had Huey Newton (my props to you for recognizing him by the way) lived today, it is concievable he would've followed the same path his fellow Panther Cleaver did and become a militant conservative... Farakhan and the NoI is also, similiarly, militant conservatives populists. I think that would describe my political beliefs well.

Cleaver didn't make that "realization" until long after he had ceased to be any kind of leader. He threatened to murder Elane Brown, one of the leader's of the L.A. Panthers (and later the head of the Black Panthers nationally while Huey was in exile) while she was touring the Third World with him. Cleaver was a thoroughly misogynist pig, who never apologized for being a serial rapist (though he apologized for raping Black women). Eventually he himself became a conservative religous leader, and today heads his own little evangelist church. Cleaver was a violent, racist, mysogynist thug who only got famous because he managed to hook up with the Panthers on the way up.

Had Huey Newton (my props to you for recognizing him by the way) lived today, it is concievable he would've followed the same path his fellow Panther Cleaver did and become a militant conservative.

Huey was a drug addict for almost twenty years before someone popped a cap in his brain in the late 1980s. It is unlikely he would have been anything other than the drug derilict he was. (fun fact: chegitz ended up getting in trouble with his organization for daring to contradict "fearless leader" by pointing out that it was Huey Newton who was killed and not Bobby Seale--who is a community laison for Temple University and sells BBQ sauce)

Farakhan and the NoI is also, similiarly, militant conservatives populists. I think that would describe my political beliefs well.

Yeah, I think that just about describes you. . . . You do know that the NoI hates you too.
