      Stefu is right, when I was Kublai-Khan people used to call me Kub, and now they call me Plan.

                                ACtually, most iompportant thing is to KNOW that it will work. Or tpo know that if it doesn't, you can still publish negative or tangential results. Last thing you want to do is throw your body on a spike and waste a Ph.D. doing something that doesn't work because it was "ambitious". I know..I saw some naive students do that. ANd be very unhappy at the end. You better watch out for number 1.
