  • Best Albums of 2002

Not a particularly great year in music, not particularly bad one either (unless of course you only look at the billboard singles charts)

There were a lot of good Best Of's released this year, Elvis, the Stones etc. But I'm not really counting those.

Some of my favorite Albums this past year have been,

    Yankee Hotel Foxtrot ~ Wilco
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots ~ Flaming Lips
Source Tags & Codes ~ And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead
A Rush of Blood to the Head ~ Coldplay
    The Rising ~ Bruce Springsteen
Songs for the Deaf ~ Queens of the Stone Age

I'm sure I've left a lot off though
    I'm 49% Apathetic, 23% Indifferent, 46% Redundant, 26% Repetative and 45% Mathetically Deficient.

Maybe it's one of those "OMG HOT HOT SECRET UNRELEASED REMASTERED TRACKS" type of albums?

                  1. George Harrison "Brainwashed"
                  2. Was the White Stripes' "White Blood Cells" 2002 or 2001? If 2002, it goes in this spot.
                  3. Soundtrack of our Lives "Behind The Music"
                  4. Johnny Cash "The Man Comes Around"

Honourable Mentions go out to The Strokes and The Hives. Those were released last year, though, no? Good stuff, still.

EDIT: How, oh how, could I forget Eels' "Souljacker". Sure, it's no "Electro Shock Blues", but it's still FAN-tastic!
