Ingratiate?"Paul Hanson, you should give Gibraltar back to the Spanish" - Paiktis, dramatically over-estimating my influence in diplomatic circles.
Eyewerks - you know you want to visit. No really, you do. Go on, click me.

sorta. I don't want to use suck up because of the sexual connotation. Ingratiate is a little off though. Doesn't really convey enough ass-kissing. Term is to neutral. You could ingratiate without it being thought of as obsequeous.Originally posted by Paul Hanson

How about "flatter"?"Paul Hanson, you should give Gibraltar back to the Spanish" - Paiktis, dramatically over-estimating my influence in diplomatic circles.

That's better. And the sucking up was in the form of flattering. I would like the connotation of favors included though. This is someone flattering her boss on a seperate issue. (make more implicit the idea that she may recieve favors.)Originally posted by Paul Hanson
True.
How about "flatter"?
BTW, I ended up using sucking up.
