    There is less community spirit there. People come in from all over.

    It's the same with my city. Which is still small, but we are over 1 million people now. But we will never have a pro team because we have no community spirit. It doesn't help our town wasn't founded until 1904.

        My mom is a HUGE Dallas fan...and we would always go to the Cowboys Eagles game back when my uncle was alive, and had season tix. She went wearing a Dallas sweatshirt, and cheered for the Cowboys...

        Two men turned around and began to yell at her, calling her names, and being downright rude and hostile. The only thing that saved her from possible outright aggression was that they saw she was 7 months pregnant with my brother.

            A grudging amount of respect is due the Bucs as they completley handled the Eagles.

            With the exception of special teams the Eagles had no game at all.

            I give you guys kudos for an impressive win and make no excuses.

            OTOH, I still see the Raiders coming out on top in the Big Game.


            I would wish you good luck, but I gotta pull for the Riaders if only to see Sapp and Meshawn get their just rewards.

            In any event, congratulations on a fine victory.

              I was waiting to see if somebody was going to bump this thead.

              Congrats to the Bucs... I just hope it will be an entertaining Superbowl.

                    A question for all you trivia buffs out there...

                    Is this the first time in history that two teams with the same mascot will meet in a championship game? Any sport counts...

                          Liverpool and Everton both have birds (not the same bird but.....)as their mascot, and theyv'e met a few times in what are the equilivent(sp) of championship games

                            Raiders are different from Buccaneers. Not a huge difference, but it's there.
                            Eagles vs. Falcons would've been an interesting game in terms of mascots.
