  • AVG virus scanner

I just want to point out AVG virus scanner to any of you that need a virus scanner and don't/can't pay for one. The personal editon is free. The person that told me about puts high-end computers together for a living He told me that theses days a lot of virus look for scanners and knock them out, but most of them are trained to look for the big ones (norton, etc.). I dunno I just wanted to point it out to you guys in case any of you need a free virus scanner.

AVG is what I use, for the same reason.

I use it too, but since it never found a virus I don't know how good it is

The great thing about AVG is that it puts a scan viruses link in the search part of the start menu. So even if the virus has disabled all .exes from running you can still load AVG using Start > Search > Viruses.
