  • North Korea pulls out of nuclear pact

North Korea today announced its withdrawal from the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Pyongyang says the withdrawal is effective immediately, but can be suspended if the US agrees to resume oil shipments... (Big, fat chance of that happening now... )

At the same time Pyongyang says it has no intention of developing nuclear weapons, and pledges to limit its nuclear activities to "peaceful purposes."

    Happy New Year, Uncle Kim.
I see your statements don't make any sense this year either...

I saw amongst the more ridiculous North Korean progaganda claims about Kim Jong Il was that he made 11 holes in one in his first ever round of golf
Any views I may express here are personal and certainly do not in any way reflect the views of my employer. Tis the rising of the moon..

Look, I just don't anymore, okay?

          Aaaaaargh!!!

One or two would have been pretty cool and might even be credible, but of course they had to make themselves look like a bunch of idiots...

Who do they think they're fooling anyway??

            LMAO @ AH.

But getting back to the non-proliferation treaty, I mean its just balls. They've already restarted reactors and expelled UN observers, withdrawing from the treaty doesn't really mean an awful lot.

So?? BFHD (bigfathairydeal) The US is the biggest proliferator of arms on the planet. The US pulled out of the ABM treaty. Israel hasn't even signed the treaty. And the US never signed the accord banning the us of chemical/biological weapons.

                    [stupid US rant]
OH BUT LOOK AT NORTH KOREA, THEY'RE BADDIES!
                    [/stupid US rant]

In the realm of global atrocities, North Korea has to do a lot more if it wants to catch up with the US.
To us, it is the BEAST.

The US doesn't give two hoots about banning landmines either.

What does any of that have to do with North Korea pulling out of the NPT?

Yeah, let's remove the landmines near the DMZ. It'll make it that much easier for North Korea's armies to move through in a few years once we pull our troops and equipment out of (the soon to be former) South Korea.

Yep, the world would be 99 percent better off if it weren't for the jackass Yanks, huh?

Oh, and I'm quite sure that most of the planet will be blaming the United States for NK's latest actions by, oh, no later than 10 p.m. CST USA. After all, we incited them.
