  • What's the best free email service?

I'm getting more and more fed up with Hotmail, to be honest. It has a nasty habit of courrupting attachments, pop-ups have appeared all over the place and the 2MB limit is too restricting.

    Can anybody recommend something better?

I kinda like Yahoo. My account attracts very little spam. And when it does, it gets pre-sorted into a junk box away from the important stuff. Hotmail is nothing but a spam magnet. Let it fade away.

More and more spam has been escaping the bulk folder on yahoo lately, but it's pretty easy to spot and dump (unless you have friends named Delore6573x who routinely e-mail you about weight loss and penis enlargement). Plus, I've never had a problem with attachments and they have a 6 mb limit (on storage; is that what you meant?). I'd second the vote for yahoo.

I agree. Yahoo is by far the best free email service out there. 6 Mb of space, spam filters, special folders for junkmail, etc. You name it they´ve got it!

Does anyone have any better than yahoo? I have created an email adress at yahoo.com, but they gave me an .com.uk at the end... I don't want to have an .uk or .dk, I just want a .com ...
This space is empty... or is it?

but when i tried t0 register (and i did) thenit wouldnt recognize my new adress! it would say handle does not exist!

both in greek yahoo (which is mail and some other services, not news) and the american one

plus i think its better not to trust small email service providers.

better go with the big ones,

                  fastmail.fm

Fast, efficient, and lots a room. There's a free version and a paid version with the difference being in terms of storage and bandwidth. Though the free one has all the room and bandwidth I'll ever need.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

Did you register at the UK site? If not, why would you get a .uk suffix? Since you can register completely anonomously (and untracably if you use a proxy) they should make no assumption about where you live!

Hotmail sucks. Spam, spam and spam. Anything is better than that.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

You mean back in the days when dinosaurs roamed the earth and a 500 Mb HD was a HUGE disk?
