  • Lithuanian Presidential Elections: Runoff

Here I'll post results of runoff just as I did in the first round. Votes counting still didn't started, but ballots were closed 30 minutes ago.

Results of the last poll in newspapers:
    Rolandas PAKSAS - 50,8%
    Valdas ADAMKUS - 49.2%

It seems we'll have very close elections, just as we did in 1997, when Valdas ADAMKUS won in runoff against Artûras PAULAUSKAS by less than 1% of votes...

Stay tuned to this thread for more info.

Sonic, it's a small country, just ask everyone who they're going to vote for...

However, these could change very much since votes are first counted in smaller regions (villages, towns). While bigger regions (cities) are counted later. Currently, it seems ADAMKUS is winning in cities, while PAKSAS - in country.

                      I'm rooting for R. Parkas. I don't know why.

Which one was the old guy? On the news they told one was like 75 years old ("he must be something special since he's so old that he could've just retired, but no, he is vigorous and runs for presidency") and the other one is young and aggressive ("he is very initiative-making, and once he flew under a bridge!").
