Spinks are colonial birds that spend virtually all their lives underground in burrows, a much more pleasant place to be than the unforgiving surface. They feed on roots and sugar-rich sap of the desert turnip, it takes a lot of spinks to maintain a tunnel system large enough to reach sufficient desert turnips.

ya know..I had a dream last night that this huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge wave hit the beach I was on....I remember watching it...coming behind this huge cruise ship..it was like 5 times as high as the ship...and people just stared at it,...knowing there was nowhere to go....and I remember running....and then seeing it about to hit..so I just waiting...it came crashing down...I felt myself float to the top..and then sink back down when it washed back intot he water...
I think this was brought on by seeing the "hypercanes" on this show

I had a dream that I was hanging with Buffy and we had to shut down the power to this building before the mummies got us.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I haven't seen this program, but there was a book based on same concept from some author. I think it was called "Life After Man" or something like that. Very interesting - there were all sorts of creatures. One image that stuck to mind was this antelope/rabbit thingy, evolved from the rabbit, being hunted by two predators evolved from the rat."Spirit merges with matter to sanctify the universe. Matter transcends to return to spirit. The interchangeability of matter and spirit means the starlit magic of the outermost life of our universe becomes the soul-light magic of the innermost life of our self." - Dennis Kucinich, candidate for the U. S. presidency

Femme - the mammals were indeed poggles, and the bees were "Bumble Beetles"
Again, not saying it was exact or that it was scientifically correct, but it was an interesting show and very well designed"Chegitz, still angry about the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991?

I want one of the Spinks as a pet! Those things were damned cute. Though, I suppose I'd have to get one of those BIG aquariums and fill it with dirt instead of just getting a regular birdcage with some seeds on the side...
Obviously, the Spinks were my favorite, but I felt the Great Blue Windrunner was the least speculative/most realistic concept presented. The Squibbons were the ones that got me thinking though...The Spindletroopers made me want to scream. The very THOUGHT of underwater spiders...
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.
The Weighted Companion Cube is cheating on you, that slut.

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
