  • You never expect it to happen to you

Obviously you know that it will happen someday. At first you think it's just you're a little tired, it takes a little longer to get up in the morning, you can't pull those all-nighters you used to do as a teen. Injuries don't heal as fast as they once did, and there are strange aches you never had before.

Then one day you realize, you're getting old. Obviously, it beats the alternative, dying young, but watching and feeling your body slowly betray you is hard. You are used to operating and acting a certain way. You've always been able to do this before . . . now it's harder, more painful, more tiring, more dangerous. Why do those kids drive so recklessly anway?

Your sex drive diminishes, and maybe sometimes you can't get it up, or at least all the way hard. Then you notice the grey hairs and you can't deny it any longer.

In my heart I'm still a kid. I want to go play and run around. The soul is willing, but the flesh is ever weaker. Getting old sux, but it beats the alternative.

actually my sex drive seems to be getting more powerful as I age. But it might be because the less I get, the more obsessed I get with it . But really my sex drive is out of control now I near 30. When I was 18 it was relatively low- good thing- self-pleasure was not possible in boot camp- unless you liked doing it in front of people.

Don't knock the alternative. Buy that gun

Yeah, well it does begin to catch up with all of us, even a measly 25 year old like me. I have already started a premature middle-age spread

Fight it now! Do it while you still have youthful energy. It's so much harder when you hit 35 (I'm almost 36.)

Shall we say it is one of the things on the card...I used to do a lot of swimming but don't now...and it is a relatively low priority too.

Wonderful. Just the thread I wanted to see after last night. As I read che's post my shoulder began to hurt. My headache got a little worse and I probably got a junk email for online viagra. Thanks che

Fortunately my sex drive has really diminished yet. Of course I'm only 26 though.

Heck, you have a long way before you can start complaining about being old Osweld. You're still a young buck.

when I was like 18, I could eat like a dozen donuts with no ill effects. In fact I think I have before. I would never attempt something like that today

I did notice my metabolism slowed down after 25. Before I could eat what ever I wanted and never gained weight. Now I, GASP, have to excersice to stay in shape.

What does this mean? Does this mean weight gain?
