yes, but you see, i have paid for that song. i own the limited edition DVD of the album in which that song appears. i am merely seeking one for my archives, as my computer does not sport a DVD drive.

I assume you likewise don't have a CD-ROM drive either. Both being the case, perhaps there's a way you could connect the headphone jack of one cd player to your computer (sound card maybe?) and have a program that can record that way. I've heard of it, but never seen it. Sorry you can't enjoy the aggrevations of KaZaA...

If ya'll haven't upgraded to KaZaA v2.0 ... DON'T!!! Stay with an earlier version as long as you can. Version 2.0 is crap as it includes a system of linking how much material is uploaded from your computer (which is NOT something you control, mind you...) to how fast you can download stuff onto your computer (the allowed download bandwidth). I have over a hundred of mainstream songs available (with almost 900 other songs plus a bunch of over stuff also waiting to be dealt with) and yet my rating drops to near zero. There are ways around it: not upgrading to v2.0 is the best option (hold off as long as you can); there are cheaters already out there that trick the program into improving your rating; I'm sure someone's hacked the program even further than cheating.

If you have regular kazaa and run something like Ad-aware it will make Kazaa non-functional.

                    I use Kazzaa-lite

The participation level thingy is not a bad idea, but the implementation is ridiculously unbalanced - I can leave my computer on for days letting people upload stuff, and it gradually creeps up to 1000, but as soon as I want just a couple of dozen songs, I'm down to double figures.

And even when I'm at 1,000, I still keep getting 'remotely queued' - who DARES to jump in the queue ahead of me, a Supreme Being?
