I am glad Turkey is a US Ally.

Think of what it would be like if they were not.

Without the US, there wouldnt be any Turkey

As for The Asian Minor thing, noone gets it doen correctly the first time.

Rugclothed Greeks against an empire and still we went all the way to their capital.

Now, either with arms or with their forced democratization western Turkey will again be populated by Greeks. the drive is too strong.

Besides, they should be thankful. They are incapable of progress by themselves.

Meanwhile black irish shi and paki imran have problems of their own.

turkey massacres rapes and tortures adn you defend it, how despicable of you.

            i wish you many osamas

wanna bet which ones civilians will be killed again first?

            i bet americans.

              lots of them, righteously.

as for turks they will continue to live in utter deprivation and poverty untill they are conquered, when time fulfils, or they become a democracy in which case you will see full fledged re-immigration of Pontiac greeks and smyrna greeks and const greeks which have retained their tradition.

              bunch of barbarians.

              americans die by osama
              turks are suffering under poverty

greece has the best history in the world
soon yugoslavia will be part of the EU too
russia will get stronger every year

and you have the balls to talk

              go perish

No, with the US there wouldn't have been any Turkey; the US was offered Constantinople and Armenia (the old, big Armenia) after WWI, but declined. It's fascinating to think how history might have changed if we'd accepted.

As for The Asian Minor thing, noone gets it doen correctly the first time.
First time? Didn't the Turks kick your sorry asses out of Anatolia before? Does the name "Mehmet the Conqueror" ring any bells?

Rugclothed Greeks against an empire and still we went all the way to their capital.
What empire? The empire was over; the Brits had occupied Constantinople and the Sultan was still there. This wasn't the army of an empire or even a nation; it was a rag-tag army of resistance in a war of independence, very similar to that led by Washington in the American colonies. The Brits at one point drove the Americans nearly back to their capital, too. And, for the record, you guys did a lot worse than the British.

Empire. They were 60 millions we were but a few thousands

and still all the way to the capital.

of course the effort was doomed since the beggining and thats why venizelos withdrew from office so as not to be assosiacted with it.

yet for some time western turkey was Greek,

a prelude for things to come

Plus if the brits hadnt withrew their support, as they had agreed, we would still be there

and all this mayhem from a tiny country just occupying Peloponese.

If this heroism doesnt bring tears to your eyes, nothing will

                      *sob*

                      but hey
                      US: Osama
                      Turkey: Poverty

UK: err nothing, they are history anyway

and Greece doing fine. From a tiny country that didnt even exist 200 years ago and was surrounded by the most powerful entity in Europe, I say all is well.

And prospects aer good. Not for the US and not for Turkey (unless it becoms democratic - in which case its a repeat of history)

                      Choke on it!

Serb, of course and history will record them for the butchers they are. (It is already recorded for Turkey but not for the US since it's still on its dying bed but alive and controls the media)

Celebrations are not started yet Getting prepared though.

                              Happy New Year
