Well, one can admire a woman for her beauty. Given the bizarre selections that some people make, such as Hilary Clinton and Jacklyn Bouvier-Kennedy-Onassis, a choice based upon beauty has more validity.
this thread is sad
....women are of value only if they are beautiful ...
and Dissident that attitude i could understand coming from a teen but you're no teenage boy.
im sure if you asked any of the women on your list
they would be intelligent enough to want to be
admired for something other than that outward beauty.
and their lists of women to admire would not include just women whos major contribution to the world was to look good.

Diana can only be admired for her services to shopping
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

diana did a lot of charity work and was greatly loved by many people around the world and not because she was a pretty face.
She crusaded against anti-personnel land mines with high-profile visits to Bosnia and Angola and worked with AIDS organizations and charities for children.
Diana had Christie's auction off 79 gowns collected during her 15 years as the wife of Windsor. All proceeds from the auction went to charity.

She was a nice woman who did most of those things as PR stunts to make herself more popular than Charles.
There are many thousands of people who do better (unsung) work than Diana ever did.
No one thought much of her until she went kapput

Which women do I admire? Certainly not politicians or royalty.
I admire women who have been through hell and back, yet still find the strength to be the best person they can be. We are talking about women who have been raped, beaten etc. Yet they don't go around calling themselves victims. They feel it is more important to be strong than to be a victim. These are the women I admire.
Other than that I admire female scientists and other women who contribute to a field they are not widely accepted in.
