  • Near disaster

I nearly burnt the house down, I was makin popcorn using oil and forgot it a little to long on the stove, ignorantly lifted the lid of the pot and swosh, firestorm. Rushed the mess into the sink and flushed it before even thinking anything else, still managed to soot down the cupboards above the sink pretty good. That was close, I won't ever make that mistake again, call me dumbass of the day. Ever been close to disaster yourself?
It's candy. Surely there are more important things the NAACP could be boycotting. If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - Drosedars

I haven't (yet), but I watched a FOX Christmas special the other night that showed home videos of folks crashing into Christmas trees, burning things, dancing on tables (which then collapsed) and having wine corks shot into their bespectacled faces (among other things).

      It was funny.

I did that once with a deep fryer- forgot about it and left it on for an hour+. After smelling the charcoal laden air, rushed over to thse stove and ignorantly lift the lid. ::POP:: Quite a cool science experiment actually.

Btw, frozen burritos are best deep fried!

Just because she is beautiful and looks sweet, it doesn't mean that she cannot be highly destructive. Like Mount St. Helen exploding, I reckon.

I did exactly the same or almost.

I had left some oil in the pan, forgot it, and then a fire started. I tried to put it down using water (DONT do that) and from a medium fire, it exploded to a huge one going all the way up to the ceiling.

I used a blanket to put it out.

That should really have been on videotape, I might have won a prize.

                  No casualties.

                  (Except the ceiling paint)
