  • How subtle are you?

What does this sentence mean to you? Save no different institutional tool, do describe. Jesters need not explain...

To which she considered to remark - so pure

I'm in a week long quarrel with a friend as to its' human meaning. We're both sure a group such as yourself would come up with something similar to our own arrivals.

    (That f*cker is going down)

That sentence means very little on it's own.

Can we have a little context?

KEFKA! Thanks, it is sinister, no?

As for context - that's what we're debating. Does it not conjure up a certain situational meaning - and with it, its' relevant social insinuation?

The girl is "so pure" - either because she really is, or because she only thinks she is.
First time I read it I assumed the latter.

It's really ambiguous, especially with the punctuation.

Is the dash being used as Europeans sometimes use it, i.e. instead of quotes? Then it could be....

"Catherine the Great just died when the horse she was having sex with fell on her!"
To which she considered to remark, "So pure."

After a week long coma, she awoke and they brought her newborn baby to her. He was presented to her for the first time, all bathed and powered, wrapped in a white satin blanket. To which she considered to remark, "So pure."

            Or...

She was told her husband was seen kissing another woman. To which she considered to remark - so pure [was she]. But instead she held her peace because she mistakenly believed everyone would of course realize that woman must be his sister.

you can't "consider to" do anything. The statement is nonsense.

There's a difference between subtle and obtuse. The author of that snippet of a sentence apparently is unaware of that difference.

You do see, I agree in so many ways. It's obviousness can not be seen by all, but if you've stumbled upon it you just have to show that knowledge off to anyone you can find.

I considered refuting your statement, but upon deeper reflection, I have decided to keep my silence.

The sentence is inherently meaningless. It lacks both descriptive value and narrative force.

                        It might survive in context.

All that line really tells you is that the writer is a telepath. I mean, if she only considered the remark, he had to be, right?

Either that or someone obsessed with talking about herself in the third person.

See, you had to resort to the present participle. You can't have "considered infintive".
